I've just spent three hours at the Musgrave Park protest site. I reckon there were two police and one media type for every genuine protester. It all seemed very heavy-handed with police and additional security guards blocking access to the park. However, it was actually all very peaceful despite what some news stations are reporting. Yes, there was anger and yes, there were quite a few misinformed folk but on the whole it was peaceful. One of the main issues seemed to be the fact that there was no single representative from either side hence communications were often blurred. I took some photos but my phone is being a dick and I can't upload them at the moment. But I will, once I sort out the technology.
One thing is for certain, despite 30 arrests, it isn't over by a long shot.
